BUILDING PERMITS
The Uniform Construction Code took effect on July 5, 2004 in Fox Township. Any project permitted prior to this date is exempt from the building code regulations. However, under existing building permit regulations, your project must start within 6 months of the permit and be completed within one year of the permit. If any of these dates expire, your permit is void and you must re-apply under the new building code.

ON-LOT SEWAGE
Applications to have perc tests done must be completed through the Township office. The cost is $152 for a new system and $106 for the repair or inspection of an existing system. Once application is made, the Township's Sewage Enforcement Officer, Russ Braun will be contacted to conduct the tests.

DRIVEWAY PERMITS
A permit is required before constructing a new driveway or access road. If the property is located along a Township road, you must obtain a permit from the Township. There is no fee for this permit.
If the property is located along a state-maintained road, you must contact Penn DOT at 772-0038.
FIREWORKS PERMITS
Fox Township will issue a permit to purchase fireworks to those who are properly trained to display them. Proof of this training must be submitted at the time of application. There is a $25 fee for each permit issued. Also, a check in the amount of $500 must accompany each application to be used as bond. If no damage is caused as a result of the permitted fireworks display, this amount will be returned to the permittee. Applications must be submitted 15 days prior to the event. Permits will only be granted for fireworks displays between the hours of 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM. The PA State Police will be copied with approved permits.

JUNKYARD LICENSE
All junkyards (as defined by Chapter 70 of the Fox Township code) must have a license. Application fee - $10.00. License fee - $125 for the first year, $62.50 for each year thereafter.

HEAVY HAULING PERMITS
Heavy Hauling permits are issued for all over-weight vehicles hauling over township roads. Applications must be made through the Township office. Fees are based on the actual miles traveled across Township roads. Please have mileage figures available when making application. Note: Fox Township does not accept surety bonds as a form of security. A Letter of Credit from a bank or a company check are the only acceptable forms of security.
